Personal Blogging With A Business Twist
January 29th, 2012
I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, I decided I should only work on wordpress based blogs, its well known that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the WordPress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, the existence of blog networks already says it all, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, and I have no way to post to those blogs, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not going to just put spams on them,to write interesting content is always time consuming, remember real value is always difficult to achieve. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, such as this one, Mobile Phones, it has a nice name, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, though its not a theme focused blog, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Check this one out, Nylon Sling, this blog has a theme, all topics are about same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. I can show you a lot more sites, but you should already see the point. Last but not least, you should build some casual blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, Steel Chain Basics, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
If you have a few established blogs already, add more blogs when you can, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. This is just an idea, to build a successful network will be much more complicated, do remember don’t do any black hat tricks for your sites, if you get dropped off there is no come back.
